A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
-or- tasting success again

It seems to come and go in fits and spurts.  For two weeks I hovered at about a 20 lbs. weight loss.  No change, just sort of sat there.  Then, suddenly, take a few days off from checking and *BAM*, another 5 are gone.

So, now I am up to 25 lbs gone.  More encouraging even is the fact that I could do up a pair of pants that are 6 inches smaller in the waist than those I was wearing 2 months ago.  Now, they aren't still quite what I would want to wear out in public, but I could do them up.  That hasn't happened with that pair of pants for years.

Also, I am noticing more increases in my fitness.  I ran 6 miles on Friday and felt that I could have done another if I really pushed myself.  My wife and I are doing a 10k the end of April.  I also have been working on getting faster, and my mile rate is now about 2 miles an hour faster than it was 2 months ago as well.

All in all, still feeling good, still sticking to it.

I think that is awesome. I did a 5k in November. I would love to do another one with my husband and not walk at all. It kind of bummed me because I could run it on the treadmill no problem but being out on the road was so totally different and I was slow. But hey I'm proudly wearing my t shirt as we speak.

And congrats on seeing the scale go down again. I know it can bum you when you don't see it moving. I get tired of the whole muscle weighs more than fat explanation. I want to see the scale go down. But yes what I really want is to lose fat not weight.
