A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.

My blogging has been sporadic at best.  I would chalk it up to being busy, because I certainly am.  My parents like to ask how many hours a week I am working, as if they expect some sort of surprise.  Perhaps after a few years of telling them "I'm working my 80 hours" they will catch on that this isn't going to change.

But had I the desire, I certainly have had the time to blog.  Or even read other blogs.

Yet I have not.  JoeUser, specifically, and blogging in general has lost its attraction.  At least for the time being.  It is entirely possible that I will, once again, be bitten by the blogging bug.  In fact, I hope it happens.  But now is not the time.

The article I just posted, besides truly and deeply sucking, was almost painful to write.  I think that is a message of sorts.  Time to stop forcing it and just let it be.

heh heh heh . . . I know what you mean. That's why all I've really posted lately is poetry that I would've written regardless of the blog.

Oh well. Hopefully we'll both be inspired sometime soon to resume the rigors of intense blog writing . . .

Doh, Peter. I hear you. I miss seeing your writing but if the love ain't there, it does become a bit agonizing. Take care of you and yours. Don't forget about us here!

Nicky: I won't forget, and actually fully expect to be back in the swing of things one of these days.  Just not sure when it will be.

Ahhh BlueDev,  it would seem most of us here at JU are either not wanting to write, have nothing to write about,  or are just in some kind of limbo...

Perhaps it's the changing season....maybe in a month or two things and people will liven up a bit,  politics,  football,  things like that.

Actually, for various reasons, a lot of JU regulars (myself included) seem to have "hair triggers". I think that's discouraged some blogging. Perhaps a rest wouldn't be a bad thing.

I've scaled down my blogging quite a bit as a result, and it seems like not a few others have done the same.

I'll look for your grand return, BlueDev. You can regale me with tales about nights in the hospital (on second thought, maybe that might NOT be so cool), and I can give you tales about being the night tech support guy.

You know, I do want that, so I think the desire will create the drive, eventually.

I vaccilate between apathetic and angry when I read here lately.

I am mostly apathetic.  My anger is but brief moments, and the second I realize my anger is wasted on the intellectually impotent, I just jump right to the apathy.

Ahhh BlueDev, it would seem most of us here at JU are either not wanting to write, have nothing to write about, or are just in some kind of limbo...

Must be, must be.

Sounds good Gid.  Thanks for stopping by.

I just don't have the energy to do personal blogging much since I started working for SD. Between WinCustomize, the GUI Champs going on currently and any misc product announcements or guides I'm tasked with writing, I'm essentially churning out the worth of 4-5 blogs per day Kinda takes it out of you when it comes to sitting down to write something personal

Sometimes you've just got to do it, let it be. Nice to see you again Peter. It's always nice to hear what's going on in your world. Hope you get the bug again!

Perfectly understandable BlueDev. I will miss reading your blogs but I must admit, even finding the time to read these days is difficult, let alone write something new! I must constantly be certain that Zoomba has enough to do so that he has no energy left to blog...

I'll keep an eye out for you. Best.

Sometimes it's good to take a break. You'll write more when you're ready and I'll look forward to reading it.

Hey mate, I'm in a similar position at the moment. I have been particularly busy of late, having had to move house and then have a couple of new projects at work keep me busy and away from JU. But I fully expect to be back to my blogging best in the near future. I've just got myself a new laptop and am waiting for my ADSL modem to arrive. Then look out...
