The reality is digiital downloads are going to be the way of the future. Sure, a band just starting out is going to find it harder to get their product out there, but with more and more people looking for new music online, the dinosaur record companies have every right to be concerned. And it is about time they were put on notice. They have sucked the marrow out of the industry for many years, turning talented people into cynical automatons. I for one am pleased people like Radiohead and Trent are turning their backs on the mainstream companies.
