Whew, we made it.
Yesterday was travel day, flying from Durham, NC to Salt Lake City, UT. . .with a 5 year old and a (not quite) 2 year old. Always an adventure, it actually went pretty well. Aubrey amazingly fell asleep the majority of the second flight, but since it was a tiny plane, and I am not too little, it was a bit cramped with her in my arms.
Northwest doesn't know their earlobe from their butt-hole, and so my parents had been told time and again that our plane hadn't left the ground from Minneapolis, even once we were picking up our luggage in SLC. A quick phone call brought them running, though they were pretty disappointed they weren't there when we walked out of the gates. They love us so much, especially their granddaughters.
My parents are still living in 56kdom (that my dad is leeching from work--I suppose when you are the senior officer you can do that), and so, while I still may post some blogs (that I will be writing offline), I may not be too swift to respond. I will apologize in advance if it appears I am neglecting you, my faithful readers (LOL), and promise that, when the net connection allows I will be around reading and writing what I can.
If I don't have a chance before it comes, I hope that those who celebrate it will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I send everyone my best wishes.
