A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
Perhaps this reveals just what a loser I am, the fact that I have to come here begging for e-friends.

Nevertheless, here I am, doing just that. I received an invitation to participate in the beta for Windows Live Messenger, the next generation of the whole MSN messenger and such. The thing is, since I don't use my MSN email address that much, I don't have that many contacts who are on MSN (or Hotmail, you know the game). I would like to actually test this new software, so I am humbly asking for people who are interested or willing to allow me to add them to my MSN messenger contact list.

Don't worry, I promise I am not trying to get email addresses for SPAM purposes, or anything nefarious such as that. I just figured I would actually participate in this beta since I received the invite. Here is my MSN info, that anyone interested may add: PeteyjonesATmsnDOTcom

Obviously, the words instead of the symbols are to prevent random email harvesting for SPAM bots. Thanks gang.

Edit: Well, I was mailed three more beta invitations this morning, so if anyone is interested in an invitation to use Windows Live Messenger beta, send me an email at the above MSN email address. I will send invites to the first three interested emails or IM's I receive (if I am online).

Thanks to those who have posted and have added me (or vice versa).

I have been pretty pleased with the beta so far. Every once in a while I get a crash when I try to exit. The UI is nice, the contact cards are cool. Sadly, I don't know what is new from 7.5 and what isn't, but this is a vast improvement from the 6.something days when I used to log in regularly.

Just bumping to note the additional invitations I have received. Like it says in the main article, I have three and will send them to the first three people who email me at my MSN address or IM me.

I like Trillian as well. But this has been nice to play with and I think I will continue to use it.

Just a question though kona, and not intended to be an attack or disparaging in any way. Why do you feel it is necessary to leave comments in all sorts of threads regarding programs you refuse to use or don't like? For example, I have lost count of the number of Firefox threads you have posted in simply to report that you will stick to IE.

Again, not an attack, I just find it curious behavior.

Look again. I haven't done so in awhile now as I use Firefox while using Linux. As for why I leave those sort of comments well I have an opinion as well.

Dan, sent one.

There are two left.

Oh, I understand and have no problem with that. What I find odd is that those opinions pop up in threads where no opinion was solicited.

Once at the ideas.live.com site you should be able to sign in with your Passport and then download the beta. Can't tell you what else to do other than that.
