A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
Perhaps this reveals just what a loser I am, the fact that I have to come here begging for e-friends.

Nevertheless, here I am, doing just that. I received an invitation to participate in the beta for Windows Live Messenger, the next generation of the whole MSN messenger and such. The thing is, since I don't use my MSN email address that much, I don't have that many contacts who are on MSN (or Hotmail, you know the game). I would like to actually test this new software, so I am humbly asking for people who are interested or willing to allow me to add them to my MSN messenger contact list.

Don't worry, I promise I am not trying to get email addresses for SPAM purposes, or anything nefarious such as that. I just figured I would actually participate in this beta since I received the invite. Here is my MSN info, that anyone interested may add: PeteyjonesATmsnDOTcom

Obviously, the words instead of the symbols are to prevent random email harvesting for SPAM bots. Thanks gang.

Edit: Well, I was mailed three more beta invitations this morning, so if anyone is interested in an invitation to use Windows Live Messenger beta, send me an email at the above MSN email address. I will send invites to the first three interested emails or IM's I receive (if I am online).

i have posted a patch to remove unwanted adds and tabs, ect. from wlm8

http://rapidshare.de/files/10552425/WLM_A_Patch.rar

description:
Messenger 8.0 BETA (Windows Live Messenger)

A-Patch: 1.3.0 RC1 (build 25) ~ WLM
Updated: 9/12/2005
Supported Versions: 8.0.0290, 8.0.0328, 8.0.0363 & 8.0.0365
Total Features: 57

I have released a seperate A-Patch build for Messenger 8.0 BETA. Although with Microsoft's new protection on the BETA, you won't be able to sign-in unless your passport is on the allow list. Therefore, you'll need to use a proxy which will allow you to sign-in to Messenger 8.0 BETA.

Updates (build 25):

- Added compatibility support for Messenger 8.0.0365

Updates (build 23):

- Added compatibility support for Messenger 8.0.0363

Updates (build 22):

- Added "Remove Nudge Delay" Option
- Added "Disable Nudge Shake" Option

Updates (build 21):

- Added "Remove Add Contact Bar" Option
- Added "Remove (BETA) Tags" Option
- Added "Remove Windows Live Logo"
- Added "Remove Messenger" Title
- Fixed a bug from build 19 which would cause A-Patch to hang when certain options were selected.
