A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.

I just have to say, San Chonino is a stud.

For his spring break, he booked a flight and came out to visit us. He spent about a week with us, and it was great.  He is one of the funniest guys around, is great with the little kids, and is just a lot of fun all around.  He got down on the ground and played with our little ones.  He joked with them, read them stories, did puzzles, and just basically let them abuse him.  There aren't too many college kids who would choose to do that for their spring break.

One of the other nice things is that he and my wife got to be better friends.  Not that they weren't already, but since I was at work many days, they were able to hang out, and just generally get to know each other better.  It was a lot of fun to see that they had some inside jokes that developed.

We played games, talked music, movies, TV, and just generally enjoyed hanging out.  I know I will be sad to see him go.  No doubt that the kids will be too.  Our 4 year old will be very disappointed to see her "huncle" (that is how she says it) go home, as I know the other kids will be as well.  All in all, it was a great time.  We loved having him come to visit.

But, um, I already knew he rocked.

Little late to the party ain't ya? hahahahahahhaha

Seriously, it is so good to hear about brother's who love one another, and show it.

Thanks.

That is so damn cool. Your brother does rock.

I have 4 brothers and no sisters, and all my brothers rock. So when I read stories like these it makes me feel good. I bet your parents are proud.

awwwwwwh I always knew he was a sweetie!! And he is funny.......sometimes.....

My son was going to visit his brother, new wife and little baby as well for spring break. But his plans got changed at the last minute so I guess the plan is he's going to drive (7 hrs) for a long weekend to be with them later on.

The great thing about our situation is my son David graduated with my son Brian's wife. Brian graduated two years ahead of them. So they all went to school together and I got to see Amanda graduate at the same time with David. So they already have history together knowing each other from the 7th-8th grade or so.

Parents love to see their kids get together and stay close. It's a great testimony to them that you two have this relationship.

I enjoyed reading this. Glad you and SanCho were able to spend time with each other.

It's cool that he enjoyed spending time with your kids, and it's cool that you were more than happy to have him there.

Ya'll are lucky to have each other because I don't have a brother. But come to think about it, hmmm...my sister does.

And here I thought you two were only referring to each other as bro's in the figurative sense. Duhh...

Glad you enjoyed your time together. My "little" brother and I still get along really well and I'm pretty proud of him too.

It was the best. I'm more than glad that I spent my spring break out there with his family. My brother rocks, too . . .

But for those who see me just being nice, think of these benefits:

I got to sit around and read, play x-box, whatever I wanted all day, because I didn't have to go to work.

I got a break from the norm.

I got to play with the funnest kids in the world.

So, it was mostly just selfish fun.

You should name the worm "purple." or "shoo-sha."

Ah, there aint nothing like the love of a sibling (and being the eldest of 5 I know what I'm talking about).

You BOTH rock in unique ways, you know.

Thanks for the comments.  I have always known the my bro rocks, but I think this was a reminder that he is just one of those people who you really can't not like.  Just an all around great guy.

We are all glad he came to visit.

I did not make the brotherly connection until just now. No wonder I think you are both cool.
