A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
You just blabber.

And sometimes it actually works out. I honestly believe that the at times simply the act of writing gets the creative juices flowing, allows your brain to actually think about something that, while it may not be entirely worthwhile, at least is more fun than sitting here and writing about nothing. But the writing about nothing is important as well.

I like to think of it as an exercise of matter over matter. Yep. Not mind over matter, because in this case the matter is perfectly able to go through the motions of typing an article. It is that pesky gray matter that doesn't seem to want to cooperate. So I try to subject it to the flesh, force it to think of something, otherwise those crazy fingers just might start typing things the mind will be sorry about later.

Eureka.

And idea comes. The silly exercise of forcing my mind to think about writing pays off, an idea comes. Perhaps it is a lousy idea, but it is more than I had a few minutes ago. I'll take that and mark it up as a success.

I'm a feast or famine kind of blogger. Sometimes, I'll get hit with two or three ideas at once that I just have to write about and then sometimes, I find myself staring at the monitor just wanting to put something up there. At times like that, I end up with such silliness as 'Eye C U'...

Yes silliness can work for you! (Sarcasm chip)

Writers write.. bloggers...well... what do bloggers do?

what do bloggers do?

Waste time?

I know I sure do! In the past I too have been a feast or famine kind of blogger. But I noticed that during the periods I was more regular at getting things written I had *gasp* more readers! It only took a few months for things to finally click. Sometimes I'm a little slow.

So a week or two ago I made a decision that I was going to write an average of one article per day. I have been doing pretty good and didn't want to spoil it. I think it has helped my writing to do it more regularly. So I keep at it, even with lame articles like this one!

Thanks for stopping by guys!

Yeah....the old mental brick wall! I have come across it many a time...but if you get past the initial shock of there being a wall before you can muster the energy to climb it and see the light on the otherside.

I have trouble shutting myself up . . . I know people get sick of me . . . I usually write two or more articles a day . . . I can't make myself stop.

I enjoy your posts so much, Bluedev, and I am glad to hear that you will be writing more.

I steal stuff off the internet that I like, but I always mention that they are not my ideas:)

Thanks so much Tex. I really enjoy your stuff as well. Your are quite prolific though! I often have a hard time keeping up. But I try.

Hah, I like that idea. Mayhap I will need to start doing that! But I certainly enjoy your original writing as well.

It's suppose to get easier, like Crusader says. I do rant about my rather boring life in the blog when I don't have anything interesting to post for the forum. The way I see it, at least I'm writing. Since I've come here, I've been writing more than I have before. I try to make one entry per day, except maybe for one day a week (usually sat or sun) when I would allow myself to take a break.

I am just babbling just now (and probably still doing it).

Good thoughts, BlueDev. I too like your posts.

BAM!!!
on Sep 28, 2004

Hey, you guys are all great (yea, sucking up helps- no, just kidding) but I enjoy the postings. It's great to be able to put your thoughts down on paper and actually having someone read it is icing on the cake.

"....I do rant about my rather boring life in the blog".... Me too, unfortunately - it's just life as I know it too. Hey, I like reading about other people's life. I learn a thing or two. Blue dev, so far, I haven't been bored yet.

i used to try n blog everyday... i tried to make myself write something even when i had nothing to say... sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't... but then i went on a 3 month 'military induced hiatus', and since i've returned I really haven't had the ambition to pick up where I left off...

i'm sure that things will get back to somewhat of a schedule when I go back to work, but for now i'm just out there flapping in the wind.  and happy to be doing so.

blog on dude!

Ravenblack - I enjoy your posts, so keep on ranting! Thanks for stopping by.

Muggaz - I love reading. Have been doing a lot lately, and I think it has helped me to come up with some ideas. Doesn't always work though.

foreverserenity - Glad you haven't been bored. It is nice to put your thoughts down, and even more nice sometimes when folks comment on what you write.

imajinit - Dude, you were one of my inspirations. Still are man. Glad you are back, glad you stopped by, and look forward to reading your stuff.
