A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
-or- the monster in me
Published on November 17, 2004 By BlueDev In Philosophy
Lurking beneath the placid surface of loch BlueDev is an elusive monster. A mighty beast, both fierce and cunning, it has been dormant for a time. Lately, though, the water has been stirring, ripples carried across the surface, hinting at the disturbance the lies beneath the surface. Here and there a glimpse of the thick hide can be seen, peeking above the dark glass, a horn, the tip of an appendage. The monster awakens.

And this is not a good thing.

Long ago the monster frequently was spotted, terrorizing the hapless folk who live by the loch. Caring little for the destruction in its wake, the beast did its own will. The creature made many enemies, but cared little, confident of its supremacy. Self-assured to the point of blindness the beast never noticed how vulnerable it had become. Until it was wounded.

Deep below the surface it tended to its wounds. It thought, it calculated, it learned. It saw where it had overextended before, where it had left itself vulnerable and how to block up those chinks in its natural armor. For a long time it was dormant.

But now it is strong again. Ready to break the surface and see what has changed, the beast stretches is sinews and prepares for a few more forays into the surface world. No longer content to hide, no longer content to sublimate itself. And the monster has a name. One not unknown.

For you see, the monster is me.

Does this mean you are going to wreck some havoc now? Tear through a few trollblogs maybe? Swipe a couple of spamflys? Or are you going to smash into threads causing them to collapse?

Mwahahahahahahahahaha.

What I suppose it really means is I am growing tired of seeing stupidity run rampant and may be a bit more aggressive at speaking my mind about it.

Sweet . . . now if we could only get our other nice guy, chip, to do the same . . . wouldn't that be fun?

BTW . . . this was some awesome writing on your part.

Yes, please, let's give chiprj some tequila. I have been wanting to read his rant/flame ever since he hinted there may be one in there. Get him to shake his shell a bit.

I try to limit myself to silently trolling idiots and being very petty over spelling...

That's a scary thought. I have blogged while drinking Johnny Walker Black, but that makes me mellow. Blogging with Jose gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

Crap! I forgot to actually comment on the article itself. Very nice post. Honestly, there have been some blogs that I've been reading that make me bite my tongue (fingers?). But the temptation to be a bit more 'forceful' with my opinion has been nearly overwhelming at times...
