A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
-or- how do you get one of those things?

I want a muse. I am starting to feel left out. The only muse I know about I give out to patients Link and I don't think that is what folks are talking about.

Folks I know here have one. Some have lost their muses, others have wandering muses. Some muses get shoves in certain directions. But there is this constant theme. Muse.

I don't have one. At least, the last time I checked I didn't. My random thoughts are hardly coherent enough to be inspired by a muse. Perhaps I just have a crappy muse, one that doesn't work and never reveals itself. In that case I fire my muse. Slacker.

So, where would I pick up one of these things? Gotta get me one.

I read a story once about this guy that was looking for his muse. Ended up dragging a woman back to his place thinking she could be his muse, was really a very messed up story. Maybe your better off not having a muse? Or you could go out and ask everyone you see if they would be your muse

Hmm, dragging women to be my muses. Don't think the wife would like that. Better find a different way.

bluedev,

Well, since you are a med student and all, I would suggest Myrrander's article on the best tasting energy drinks. Caffeine Highs, among other things, can be excellent muses in and of themselves.

It seems as though lots of JU users muses are taking a break...or just plain left...or are having really long hangovers from the holidays...

I can't think of anything to write, and really haven't for awhile...mainly just rambling thoughts.

Suppose it's the mind-numbing shock that comes after a mix of election and holidays?

Maybe the elections should be held in the middle of the year...not so close to holidays...

Sorry...I'm just rambling...

Have my muse BlueDev...it's not doing me any good.

I think we're all in the same boat looking for our muse, where ever did it go? We all don't know.....

Gideon: In all seriousness, I try to avoid caffeine whenever possible. There have been some times I just need a Dew, but usually I try something like push-ups to get me going. I'll have to see what I can come up with when exhausted. Could be intersting.

Silver and Jade: If your muse isn't doing you any good, what makes you think I want it?

Foreverserenity: Maybe there is an alternate dimension. Like where socks go. Hmmm. The muse zone.

Muses are fickle creatures, aren't they? One day, there you're best friend hanging out your every word. The next, they are traveling with a stranger to some roadside diner.

Maybe your Muse decided to go on a vacation and wanted to take in some sun .

In all seriousness, thoug, sometimes reading a short story usually gets my motivation going or an arty movie.

My muse is music as well. As I recently stated in another post, I keep my muse on a fairly short leash, which works for me.

The other thing to consider, my musing friend, is that maybe you're not meant to have a muse. Maybe you are meant to BE a muse. It is not just life's more esoteric subects that provide the muse, it can be individual people, such as yourself. I guess it is just a matter of whether muses require muses to amuse them.

Phew, did that make any sense?

Cheers,

Maso

Hehe My muse has this bad habit of inspiring me when i'm in the middle of doing something at work, so i need to scruble stuff on pieces of paper before i can actually come on JU and write an article about it. I dont know what kind of muse it is though, brainstorming?

"My muse got run over by a reindeer...."

Sorry, that's all I could come up with. English major and all, I could probably find some muse reference. But plbbth. Screw it. My muse is gone, too.

My muse just came back... the silly little tart was enjoying New Years and Christmas festivities far too much... I am sure yours will rock up soon mate

My muse is still out there somewhere having the time of her life I think. Like Island_gurl's, she does sometimes have the habit of bothering me when I'm a place where I can't write or where I don't have my notepad and pencil.

My muse is my alterego. (That's what I get for talking to myself too much...) A part of me, sometimes not here, sometimes unreachable. I admit it's kinda difficult to get in touch with my muse when I'm preoccupied with some RL stuff.

I don't know if it made any sense, but it made me smile. Thanks Maso.

Dusk411: I suppose I don't really think I have ever had a muse. Sometimes muses pass me by and toss out a thought or two. But I don't think I have one to call my own. Boo-freaking-hoo.

Nic: Music works for me as well, but so few have heard my music that when I start rambling it is to the empty space. Its all good though.

Island_gurl: I too have to keep a little piece of paper handy for scribbling down ideas that come.

A: Dang muse. Probably drunk reindeer.

Muggaz: Good to see you man. Now we have drunk muses to go with our drunk reindeer, eh? Bad news.

Raven: I think it is great you know your muse. Just don't be too hard on her.
