A silly little blog for me to drop the excrement of my mind.
-or- the nerves are getting to me
Published on January 21, 2006 By BlueDev In Misc
Ugh, what a week it has been. Not bad, just tense. And this weekend is going to be the worst. Likely one of the most nerve-wracked of my life. I pretty much feel nauseous 24 hours a day these days.

See, tomorrow night, at 12:01 am EST (just after midnight early Monday morning), the match results go out.

I will be happy with anywhere I end up going. It is the thought of "maybe I didn't match" that is killing me. Urology is a very competitive field, with about 400 people applying this year for ~250 spots. For example, at my interviews it was, on average, 15-20 of us interviewing for 1 spot.

But soon at least we will know. That will be good.

I hope.

Eat another Humus and call me in the morning. ;~D Go in full of Piss and Vinegar! Urine a Class By Yourself! Knock 'em dead at that interview (then revive them and really impress them)! That's how I did my paramedic interviews... really, it is... ;~D

oooh. I kinda sorta understand. While it's not on the same scale, I'm waiting to see if I landed a different job in my company. 2 positions and they've narrowed it down to 7 people by the second round of interviews. We were supposed to find out Friday. I didn't even get a callback in ref. to it. Turns out, after bumping into a guy who works in the same dept. that they're scheduling a third round with the HR Director. I'm sure I'll find out more next week, but the waiting is driving me nuts. If I get the job I'll be happy, if I don't than so be it, but really... I'm an instant gratification kind of person. I don't like not knowing everything immediately.

Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

We were supposed to find out Friday.

Good luck to you as well!  But I guess this is what teaches us patience?

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately the interviews are all over, now it is just the waiting.

Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Nicky. I will cross my for you as well.

If all else fails, have you ever considered volunteering to do a few years in Appalachia in return for forgiveness of a large portion of your student loans?

I have considered something of the sort. I will have to see what happens next. . .

Sending prayers your way and keeping my toes and fingers crossed too! Best wishes

Thanks Trudy!
