About two years ago, I wrote a blog about using Ubuntu. I was impressed and quite pleased at how solid the OS was out of the box, once installed. However, since that time, I just haven't dabbled in Linux that much. Once I got my current laptop, I read that Ubuntu didn't play to happy with Acer laptops. But, the bug to play around was too strong, and so, when I stumbled across Wubi, I couldn't resist. Wubi is an installer for Ubuntu that runs in Windows. The beauty of it is that you don't...

I found this thanks to my good friend Stanton . He pointed out that Google Calendar is no up and running.  My schedule is such that I don't use a calendar that much, but this looks like it has a lot of potential.  I love being able to drag on the small map and have that date range show up automatically.  The Quick Add feature is great as well.  Not too sure yet on the sharing idea, but I can see that a family could really take advantage of that.  Pretty cool.&n...

Nevertheless, having now given Linux a fair try I am quite impressed. I originally thought I would try Mepis, s...

I am a total tech junky. That doesn't mean I know a lot really, but I love computers, technology, new gadgets and new programs. At times I will browse software sites and look for new programs, read up on them, and maybe give them a try. Today I found some real gems that I just had to share. All of the following programs can either be downloaded or linked to from the site Klitetools . There are many sections, all freeware. In some instances there are newer, shareware or commercial ver...
